I cannot even tell you

how unbelievably relieved I am to be rid of that job.

Thank you all so much for your support.

I knew I would be glad, but, honest to god, I can't remember the last time I was this relaxed. I am not even stressing about the lack of income. I know it will be temporary...I have been looking for a new job for a few weeks anyway, I had just planned on having that new one before I chucked the old one.

Even BigD was shockingly supportive. He knew all the back stories and day to day BS that they were coming up with, and he thinks I need to send copies of all of the conflicting "orders" from all the different supervisors, to the owner of the company. (I learned long ago, because of a shady cousin, to save copies of everything...well that, and I am a bit obsessive about covering my ass...again because of said shady cousin). BigD then laughed and said it wouldn't surprise him if the owners called and asked me to come back in a managerial position. While I was rolling on the floor in hysterical laughter, I told him...not for a million bucks.

So happy for you. I felt the exact same way, both when I finally shut the daycare and when I quit my job at the doctor's office. It was like, I don't care if we end up homeless...it will be worth it for this unbelievable feeling of relief!

Something better awaits...I'm sure...

I "retired" almost a year ago, and the relief of not working for them anymore, or ever again was immense! Got a few irons in the fire, but it will be on my terms- not somebody else's..

HALLELUJAH! YOU'RE FREE OF THE SHACKLES OF YOUR OPPRESSOR! REJOICE! Trust me, the owner of the company is well aware of the turds that run that company and doesn't care. If he/she did they would have been a more compassionate, efficient team in place. You need to have your company and hire all their employees away from them!

Don't you spend one second worrying - you deserve better! It reminds me of the time I worked for this law firm in the overflow secretarial pool. It was run by a woman who called us "girls" and wouldn't allow you to make personal phone calls or even talk to one another unless it was work related. I had to wait for my lunch hour to use the phone to call around looking for a cheap dentist while I was in agony. One young woman who had the unfortunate position of having to work in the same tiny office with her actually had to ask PERMISSION from her to ask a "non-work related question". I was making a good living from this temp job but one day I finally snapped when she wouldn't let me take a late lunch break to go to an audition. I told her exactly what I thought of her and walked out. I told my temp agency that I wouldn't go back unless I got paid $3/hr more and didn't have to work for her. I thought for sure, that will never happen and I'm screwed. Guess what, the law firm called and wanted me back. I got a raise, I got to work on another floor and I didn't have to put up her with silly ass anymore.

There has got to be something better out there for you. You will win!
