Shaking my head

Well folks....wanna hear what I got for Valentines Day? I am going to tell you anyway. NADA, ZIPPO, ZILCH, not even a "will you be mine?". Now guess was BigD got. A new car. Today. In about an hour. The evolving drama of S1's broken car and his needs for transportation brought out the kid in BigD. He (all on his own) decided that we should let S1 use our REALLY OLD-we are talking 12 years old folks-car. It is in amazing shape, has very low mileage and if taken care of will last many more years. So, BigD decides that we are going to let the kid use this car and BigD went out today, hooked up with a car dealer buddy and hammered out a sweet deal on a new (3 year old) vehicle. I have a 4 year old car that we owe nothing on and the old beast has been paid off forever so with the stimulus BS and rebates and buddy hookups this really should be affordable (the big guy is working OT for the payments) and the little boy in him has a new toy. Guess he won't need sex tonight.

I got a Hershey's dark chocolate candy bar. I had to ask for it. Happy Valentine's Day!

Man, S1 should be happy!

HA! So - did he get any sex? :)

I bought Dave some chocolate, a cool magazine, and a card with a lottery ticket in it. He opens it, goes pale... goes for a walk, and comes back with a nice card with a lottery ticket in it, a magazine ... etc.

That S1 of yours - he has the BEST mum. xox

I am so glad the car situation worked out, especially for hubby?
As for Valentines, I made the mistake of being born and getting married near Valentines day- So Birthday, anniversay, and V-day are all half-ass.
Woe is me. ( only this time of the year)

I say take over the car.
Glad it resolved the S1 dilemma anyway.

Men. Ugh.

My EX-anniversary was Valentines Day, so one of us will call the other and wish an EX- Happy Anniversary! LOL
I was not expecting anything since I do not have a boyfriend, or "steady" guy in my life right now... with the exception of my best friend who I have known for over 10 years. He knew nobody was going to give me anything, so he showed up late Saturday afternoon with a nice friendship card and a box of chocolates.
I felt bad that I didn't get him a card or anything, but he said he understood. He knows the day is one I really try NOT to think much about! LOL

It's amazing how they buy cars, like we buy a new top or something - it's a treat!

Couple years ago, I came home from a Buddhist conference and we had a new flat screen TV. Needless to say, it went back - and I didn't even have to raise my voice!
