Early Morning Conversation
The following conversation happened this morning in my house....
HIM: Hey honey have you seen my dickie?
ME: It's right between your leggies.
HIM: Very funny, have you seen my dickie?
ME: Not in a very long time.
HIM: Never mind.
Someone woke up without his sense of humor this morning.
(For those of you that may not know, a dickie is a fake shirt that only has a collar, so you can wear a shirt or sweater and LOOK like you have another shirt on underneath but really you just have 1/3 of a shirt with no body or arms, only a collar). Do they even make these any more????

I'm sure Penneys has the market on those things.
Although with BigD's first question, I knew what he was talking about, I still got a chuckle out of the conversation. Sounds like one that would happen around here in the morning. Or any time of day, really.
I was going to google it and see where they're sold. But...I haven't had my coffee yet and am afraid of the results. LOL.

Personally I never heard of a shirt called a dickie !....but then again us aussie tend to call those mens swimmers that look like underwear dickies...

Hehe! I think they sell Dickies at the Northern! Because, it's so damn cold up here men keep losing their Dickies in the cold and have to buy new ones! :)

I don't know if I've seen any dickies recently, but I think the new version of those is where they have the fake button down shirt sewn into the v-neck sweater.

I am amused not only by your answers, but also by the thought that people still wear those things!! my mom had one in EVERY COLOR when I was a kid. Haven't thought about them in years! We won't say how many years......
